Getting Involved in Campus Theatre
There are many exciting ways for students to get involved with campus theatre at U of T:
Audition for a performance! Check out our Audition tab for ways to get involved as an actor. No experience is required to audition for campus theatre productions. From plays and musicals to radio dramas and comedy groups: campus theatre has something to offer for every performer!

Get involved Backstage! Work with different artistic teams as a costume, lighting, or set designer. Try your hand at being a props master! Play an instrument? Get involved with the orchestra for a musical! Want to get a bit of experience before taking on a full-time crew position? Many backstage positions also hire assistants (such as Stage Managers)! Check our Backstage Opportunities tab often for upcoming positions.

Submit your own work: Campus Theatre is a fantastic place to get your own work up on the stage! Keep an eye on the Submissions tab for opportunities: many drama societies will put out calls throughout the school-year looking for submissions to events such as the Hart House U of T Drama Festival or will put out a call for proposals to select their new seasons in the Spring.
